FUNKE SUSAN MEDUN
Funke brings several years’ experience profile that spans business development, relationship management, team management, building & maintaining strategic alliances. She holds a first degree in Geology and an MBA from Lagos Business School (Pan African University), Nigeria. She also has a diploma in human resources management and an associate member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM). She is also an alumni of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and IESE Business School, Spain.
She has attended several marketing, leadership, management, strategy and execution courses both locally and internationally. She has published articles on areas such as financial education, personal effectiveness, team management and business etiquette.
Funke had about a decade experience in the banking sector before joining the consulting industry. She worked with the leading banks in Nigeria: Zenith bank plc and Guaranty trust bank plc (GTBank) in different departments and capacities. She was also the country manager/head business development, Nigeria of a consulting firm with head-office in Canada. She has pioneered several business units and managed them with great results. She has successfully managed several teams, mentoring and impacting great skills.
Funke is currently a director in Leapworld Limited a management consulting, assessment, empowerment, training organization and representative of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Nigeria. She co-ordinates CEIBS executive development programs, women entrepreneurship and leadership for Africa (WELA) program, recruitment, brand management and alumni support and general activities in Nigeria. In addition to CEIBS, she also manages Leapworld’s other alliances such as Prixim consulting UK; RSL Derivatives, Bank of Industry (BOI) amongst others.
She has worked on projects and implemented training programs in different countries for organizations such as Channels Television, Seplat Petroleum development Company, Statoil, Konga On-line shopping Limited, AnkorPoint Integrated Services Limited, Lekki Co-operative & Multi-Purpose Society Limited, Wattcon, AOS Orwell Ltd (oil & gas), Landsmanholdings, Oceanic bank (now Ecobank), Access Bank plc, Polybonde group, Cornerstone Mortgage bank, RoyalTrips; Nigerian National Assembly, Lagos State Eko Education Project, Leke Sanni & Associates, Fidelity Bank plc, amongst others.
Funke is also very active in community development. She is a volunteer financial education trainer with the “financial literacy for all” project, Nigeria (in Collaboration with Common Wealth UK) and a life-skills trainer with the Lagos Eko Education project (World Bank funded). She was also a mentor under the Guaranty Trust Bank plc staff mentoring scheme and a peer educator with the Health & Life planning club (Action Health Incorporated, Lagos).
